David Berryhill

David Berryhill has been immersed in music and technology for as long as he can remember, blending his passion for live music, performance, and electronics into a successful career in professional audio. In 1998, he combined these interests by launching his own DJ company, equipped with PA gear, turntables, and an extensive collection of records and CDs. His first event, a wedding for his cousin, sparked a series of bookings that grew into a steady business.
 

In 2003, David joined a Charlotte-based company to expand his expertise and save for high-quality live sound equipment. By 2004, he had transitioned into live sound engineering, a field in which he continues to excel. For five years, David worked with a prominent Charlotte production company, honing his skills as a stagehand, and as an audio, video, and lighting technician. During this time, he had the privilege of setting up stages for renowned artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Darius Rucker, Sara Evans, Billy Corgan, Dustin Lynch, and events for NASCAR. Simultaneously, he managed a small, family-owned sound company and occasionally ran sound for the company owner’s band.
 

After the production company relocated to Las Vegas, David shifted to working in bars and nightclubs, ultimately settling as a sound engineer and assistant manager at a large venue in Gastonia. There, he managed sound for notable acts including Otherwise, Like A Storm, Winger, and even a young Luke Combs before his rise to fame. Following the closure of the venue, David continued to work as a freelance sound engineer for various events and venues.
 

In 2019, he began working with an Asheville-based country artist, becoming a key part of their live performances. Over the past four years, David has continued to provide exceptional sound engineering for the artist’s shows. With 26 years of combined experience in DJing, live sound, and installations for audio, video, and lighting, David Berryhill brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he undertakes.
